About the speaker
I’m Kathie, wife to Alan, mother of eight children, and homeschooling mom of 31 years. My husband and I have been married for 40 years, and our kids are grown up, with the youngest being 21. We also have 13 precious grandchildren. Though my homeschooling days are behind me now that all eight of the kids have graduated, I still stay busy as I run The Character Corner, travel to conferences, speak, and share encouragement on my blog. Parenting and homeschooling is a wonderful adventure, as well as an amazing opportunity. It can be overwhelming too, so I’d like to offer information and resources that can help you along the way. My goal in my speaking and writing is to help and encourage parents to be purposeful as they try to raise their kids to have Godly character, and a heart for God while providing practical advice, tips, and encouragement from the things I have learned over 36 years of parenting, and 31 years of homeschooling

frustrating, as well as discouraging. We must teach out children how to respond to conflict Biblically so that arguing and strife don’t disrupt our home, and so they will be prepared to handle conflict in life. Learn the most common causes of sibling conflict and get practical Biblical solutions to the problem.
Time Management: Getting it All Done!
Do you often feel like you end up getting off track by the end of the day? Are you just struggling to get it "all done" everyday, get your kids back in line, and your homeschooling rolling smoothly? How do you sort through the distractions, get back on track, and stay there? As homeschooling moms, it is always a challenge to balance our many roles, and accomplish what we need to without being distracted. But it IS possible! Kathie will share practical ideas on staying focused, and being a wise manager of your time, so you can get those important things done!
